Have you ever seen a picture of a place and really wanted to go there?
Maybe you are a like me and you see amazing travel pictures on Instagram everyday.
Last year, I saw a picture of Lauterbrunnen, Switzerland and that turned into our last European vacation. I will post that adventure in another blog sometime.
That trip was 100% inspired by an Instagram picture
Now, this trip was not exactly like that. In February, we were invited to do our first wedding in the UK. I cannot tell you what a dream come true it was for me to be able to do a wedding in England. The wedding was at Northbrook Park in Farnham, Surrey. It was old, beautiful and exactly what I was hoping for. Not to mention, the couple was such an amazing fit for us. Win win, all around. I will save that story for another day.
Unexpectedly, I also got to see something in the UK that has always intrigued me. No, not Stonehenge.....a thatched roof. I know that might seem strange, but to me, it's just so ancient, as if time is standing still. Luckily, there were lots of houses along the coast with this type of roof.
